Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu scored for Bochum, but it wasn’t enough to stop their 3-1 defeat against Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
Boadu, who joined Bochum on loan this summer, played 88 minutes in the Week 6 match.
Wolfsburg opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Tiago Tomás found the back of the net after a pass from Mohamed Amoura. The visitors extended their lead in the 37th minute, with Denmark’s Jonas Wind adding a second goal, again assisted by Amoura.
Boadu managed to pull one back for Bochum in the 72nd minute, connecting with a pass from Moritz Broschinski to score his second goal of the season. Despite his efforts, Bochum couldn’t mount a full comeback.
Wolfsburg sealed the win in the 88th minute when Jonas Wind scored his second goal, securing the 3-1 victory at Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
The 23-year-old Boadu has been a key player for Bochum, with two goals and an assist in five appearances. On loan from Monaco, he is expected to play an important role for the club this season.
