Ibrahim Zubairu, a former Ghana youth international, delivered an outstanding performance to help Partizan Belgrade secure a commanding 4-1 win over Tekstilac Odzaci in the Serbian top-flight on Saturday. The match, held at the Stadion FK Partizan, saw Zubairu contribute a goal as his side cruised to victory in the week 11 encounter.
The former King Faisal forward opened the scoring in the 39th minute, giving Partizan the lead. However, Tekstilac Odzaci quickly responded, with Ivan Davidovic leveling the score just before halftime. Despite this setback, Zubairu and his teammates maintained their momentum.
In the second half, Partizan Belgrade regained control, with Bebras Natcho netting the second goal in the 52nd minute. Ghayas Zahid added a third soon after, putting the hosts firmly in command. As the game neared its conclusion, Nemanja Nikolic sealed the win with a late goal in the 89th minute.
Zubairu, who joined the Serbian club in the summer transfer window, has been impressive this season. The 20-year-old has contributed two goals and two assists in seven matches, making a strong case for his growing influence on the team.
With such performances, the young Ghanaian forward is looking to make a significant impact for Partizan Belgrade this season.
