Accra Lions head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has encouraged his players to move past their recent defeat to Nations FC.
The team faced Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in a Week 30 fixture of the Ghana Premier League. Despite the loss, Tanko expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance during a post-match interview with StarTimes.
“We played our normal game, we had more possession, especially in the first half but we lost. We will concentrate on the next game. That’s it,” Coach Tanko remarked, highlighting the positive aspects of their play.
Acknowledging areas needing improvement, Tanko admitted his team’s struggle with goal-scoring. “We have to keep working. That’s football. You have to keep working on your goalscoring and that’s what we are going to do,” he added, emphasizing their commitment to improving in training to ensure better results in future matches.
