Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim was the star player for AS Trencin as they defeated Zlate Moravce 4-0 in the Slovakian Liga on Saturday. Ibrahim played the full 90 minutes and scored two goals to help his team secure a convincing win at the Stadion na Sihoti.
The 22-year-old midfielder opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a goal set up by Nigerian forward Sunday Jude. Before halftime, Ibrahim struck again to double his team’s lead. Trencin went into the break with a comfortable two-goal advantage.
In the second half, Trencin continued their dominance, scoring two more goals to seal the win. Serbian forward Njegos Kupusovic scored in the 54th minute, and Slovakia international midfielder Artur Gadjos added the fourth goal in the 85th minute.
With this win, Trencin moves up to second place in the relegation group standings, while Zlate Moravce remains at the bottom after 27 rounds of games. Rahim Ibrahim has had a decent season so far, playing 24 matches, scoring six goals, and providing one assist.
