Andoni Iraola, manager of Bournemouth, has lauded Ghana international Antoine Semenyo for his performances in the first two games of the season.
Semenyo played in both Premier League games this season, starting one and coming off the bench in the other.
He came on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with West Ham United, making an immediate impact in the build-up to the equaliser at the Vitality Stadium. He also started and scored in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.
However, his manager has expressed satisfaction with his performance.
“Antoine [Semenyo] was very good last week [vs. West Ham]. The minutes he played he gave good energy to the team,” Iraola said.
“[Against Liverpool] also, he pushed a lot. He really finished very tired.
“But I think what we expect from our forward players is to give everything they have. A player comes and we are in a good position.”
