Bechem United is currently searching for a new coach to fill the vacant position for the upcoming season after the departure of Kassim Mingle.
Mingle, who guided the team to a 3rd-place finish in the 2022-23 season, resigned at the end of the season and has joined newly promoted Nations FC.
According to reliable sources from SportsWorldGhana, Bechem United has reached out to Maxwell Konadu, the head coach of Legon Cities, and discussions are underway for a potential move to Bechem.
Konadu successfully steered his team, Legon Cities, away from relegation in the previous season despite the club’s financial challenges. They finished 9th in the Ghanaian top-flight league with 46 points, securing their position for another season.
Maxwell Konadu, a 50-year-old coach who previously played for Asante Kotoko and King Faisal Babes, has an impressive track record.
He won the league title with Asante Kotoko in 2013, marking the club’s 22nd championship. His competence led to managerial roles with the Ghana U20 and U23 teams, as well as serving as an assistant coach for the senior national team.
It is highly likely that Konadu will sign a one-season contract with Bechem United, becoming their new coach for the upcoming season.
