Ghana’s U20 female national team whipped Cameroon 3-0 in Saturday’s second-leg of the final qualifier to secure qualification for their fifth consecutive World Cup in France.
The Black Princesses had held their Cameroonian opponent young lioness to a 1-1 draw the first league back in Yaounde a fortnight ago.
The Black Princesses completely dominated the match and eliminated their opponents on a 4-1 aggregate following the first-leg played in Yaounde two weeks ago.
Goals from Enerstina Anambila and Priscilla Adubea was all that Yusif Basigi’s side need to finish the first half with a comfortable 2-0 lead at the Cape Coast stadium.
Ernestina Abambila had shot Ghana in front in the 15th minute before captain Priscilla Adubea extended her streak to 10 goals in the qualifier.
Cameroon approached the second with more pressing football in their quest to pull parity but failed on countless occasion to find target before substitute Sandra Owusu Ansah deepened their woes when she got Ghana its third goal on the 78th minute.
Ghana and South Africa will be representing Africa at the U20 World Cup which will be staged in France from August 5 to August 24 2018.
