Asante Kotoko management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah has surpassed their target of generating GHC15 million at the end of their three-year contract.
The team has generated a whopping GHC28.7 million, which was revealed by the Communications and Branch Manager, David Obeng Nyarko, in an interview with Angel FM Kumasi.
Obeng Nyarko stated that the management’s top priority was to make Asante Kotoko a financially independent club, which has been accomplished.
The board tasked them with raising GHC5 million each year for a total of GHC15 million, but the team has exceeded their target by GHC13 million.
“In our first year, we were tasked to raise GHc5 million, second year GHC10 million in our second year and final year GHC 15 million. That was what was given to us by the board”, David Nyarko revealed.
David Nyarko also added that revenue is still coming in for the club.
“As I speak, the management backed by our Board, we’ve been able to make GHC 28.7 million. We have exceeded our target by GHC13 million. And revenue is still coming”, he added.
