Former Celtic and Manchester City defender Jeremie Frimpong netted a brace to help Bayer Leverkusen to their first victory in the Bundesliga this season.
He netted twice in the space of three minutes to ensure his team gets the needed result, their first win in Germany’s top-flight competition.
His Ghanaian compatriot Timothy Fosu-Mensah came off the bench to feature in the game for the victors. Frimpong was replaced on the 70th minute.
He joined Leverkusen from Scottish giants Celtic three seasons ago and looks set to feature in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
