Ghana’s forward Osman Bukari suffered UEFA Champions League elimination with Serbian powerhouse Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday evening at home.
The Ghanaian played more than 80 minutes of football for the Red and Whites outfit as they drew 2-2 against Israeli Ligat HaAl team Maccabi Haifa.
The Ghanaian failed to score in both games for Red Star Belgrade but provided an assist in his team’s 3-2 defeat in the first leg in Israel.
He later picked up an unfortunate injury and was substituted in the second half of the first leg but recovered in time for the second leg of the tie.
Unfortunately, Bukari’s team, Red Star threw away a healthy 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at home to crush out of the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League competition.
Osman Bukari will now play in the UEFA Champions League competition group stages and will be in port One for the group stages draw.
