Black Stars and AFC Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo openly expresses his desire to find the net in the upcoming clashes against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Following victories against Madagascar and a narrow defeat to Comoros, Ghana gears up to face Mali in Bamako on June 6 and CAR at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on June 10.
These matches mark the debut of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo in his return to the top technical position.
Semenyo, speaking to the press after a training session at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, emphasized the team’s collective goal of securing victories in both fixtures, while also sharing his personal ambition:
“I want to score in both games if I’m honest. As a striker, you want to score. Score goals and help the team get forward up the pitch. That’s it for me.”
Ghana, vying for their fifth World Cup appearance, aims to make a significant stride towards qualification in these crucial encounters.
