Black Stars ‘B’ coach Maxwell Konadu has named his starting line up against Gambia for Ghana’s tournament opener in the ongoing 2019 WAFU tournament in Senegal.
Maxwell Konadu led Ghana to win their second WAFU cup in 2017 after whipping Nigeria in the final, and are set to begin the title defence against Gambia on Tuesday evening.
Medeama SC goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi starts in posts in while Moro Ibrahim and Hearts of Oak’s Fatawu Mohammed are deployed for the left and right full back roles respectively.
Hearts of Oak’s star defender Mohammed Alhassan partners Issaka Mohammed in the central defence.
In midfield, sees the partnership of Ashantigold duo Appiah McCarthy and
James Akaminko.
Hearts of Oak’s Joseph Esso and Ashantigold Cpatin Shafiu Mumuni however, will lead the Black Stars’ attack as they begin their title defense against Gambia.
The match kicks off at exactly 4pm local time.
