Ghana’s female senior national team [Black Queens] head Coach, Bashir Hayford says the performance of his team keep improving day-by-day as they prepare for the Total Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Cup (AWCON).
According to him, the Queens are worth the applause given to them by Ghanaians since they keep improving better in their preparatory exercises.
The Queens defeated South Africa 1-0 in their final warm-up game for the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday evening.
Striker Samira Sumaila opened the scoring in the 21 st minute when she met Captain Elizabeth Addo’s corner kick.
The veteran trainer is pleased with his charges performance so far ahead of their group opener against Algeria on Saturday.
He says ”I think you can clap and clap, seeing females play football a such. The performance is what we are applauding, is amazing.
”Our performance is of improvement after 3 matches, we are progressing.”he added
Ghana host Africa in the 11th edition of the Total Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Cup which starts November 17 to December 1, 2018.
The Black Queens open their Afcon campaign in Accra against Algeria on November 17 and face Mali three days later at the same venue before closing the group play with a crunchy tie against Cameroon on November 23 in Accra.
