Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, has confirmed that 14 players have reported to the Black Stars camp in Accra as preparations begin for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
The squad opened camp today, with the first batch of players already in. According to Asante Twum, the list includes Antoine Semenyo, Elisha Owusu, Salis Samed, Ibrahim Osman, Joseph Annan, Benjamin Asare, Ibrahim Sulemana, Mohammed Salisu, Jonas Adejey, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Caleb Yirenkye, Jerry Afriyie, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Tariq Lamptey.
He added that the rest of the invited players, including Thomas Partey, are expected to join the team later in the day before full training begins tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars will face Chad in N’Djamena on September 4 at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, before returning home to play Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
